Mediation

Mediation

  • Cost effective
  • No courtroom setting
  • Save time with agreed solutions
  • Creative outcomes

At Dodd Law Offices, PLLC we do not take sides but listen, with compassion and intent, to all parties involved in seeking settlements outside of the courtroom. Mediation involves a neutral person, the mediator, who guides parties through communication to promote compromise, settlement, or understanding.

Our firm’s attorney is a certified mediator who is available to help those seeking assistance in negotiations within the area of Family Law including Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (CPS) and family violence cases. Our goal is to reach a creative settlement agreement that is specifically tailored to all parties, and their family’s situation, protecting and keeping the best interest of the children in the forefront. As mediator, our attorney will not take sides or provide legal advice, nor place their own views or decisions on the issue at hand. We will not tell the other side what you have discussed and must keep your conversations confidential unless you agree otherwise.

Mediation occurs in a less formal setting than court and can save time and money if you and the other party can reach an agreement through this process. In most cases, mediation can provide a legally enforceable outcome, if agreed by the parties, similar to going to court.
